Hey guys! Posting starts soon and we’re loving all the submissions so far! If you need your extension extended, please contact the mods!

That said, if you’ve already submitted your gift and there’s a prompt that you really like from the Santa’s List, we highly encourage you to step in and fill those prompts! 

You can submit your extra gifts here at the @zecretsanta blog or post at your own blog and @ us so we can reblog your post. We just ask that you wait until the 25th before posting said extra gifts.

* People who didn’t sign up for the fest but want to fill in prompts are very much welcome too. Happy gifting, guys!

Hello! For my gift I was thinking of doing two pieces, one prompt in art and the other in writing! Would that be alright or should I just stick to one? If i did two how would I submit them? Thanks so much!

Hello Hello! That’s great! Doing two is totally fine!

If the art and writing are for the same prompt (like say an illustration to go with your fic), go ahead and submit them together.

If they’re for different prompts, submit them both separately, but let us know which one you’d like to be the gift. Then we’ll post the second gift during the Bonus Round.

Idk if we’ve mentioned this yet (I’m so sorry we’ve been a little frazzled this year!) but we’ll be doing the Bonus Round again, so everyone can have the opportunity to fill additional prompts. We’ll post more info about this soon!

All Zecret Santa pairings have been sent out either by email or by ask box. If you haven’t received a message from us telling us who your giftee is, please contact us so we can get that info to you!

If you have any additional questions about your giftee’s wishlist feel free to shoot us a message. We’re happy to work as a liaison between you and your giftee so that things are kept as secret as possible!

are the mods okay? you guys haven’t posted since the 7th

Thanks for checking in! I’m sorry I haven’t been able to post an update until now. (I hate making excuses, but the truth of the matter is that real life happens).

I’m currently out of the country, and we planned on Mod D being able to send out pairings, but they’ve had a sudden very serious family emergency pop up.

I’ll be returning home late tonight. If I have wifi at the airports/time, I’ll do my best to start sending out pairings, otherwise, look for those to go out on Monday November 13th.

I’m sorry if this has been a major inconvenience for anyone, but as I say, real life happens. When I get back Mod D and I will look at the deadline and see if we need to make adjustments.

ZEcret Santa 2017

Hey guys! You still have a couple of days to sign up for ZEcret Santa Gift Exchange!

I’m fairly inexperienced at writing, but I’d love to give ZEcret Santa a shot! I know the FAQ said there’s not strict word limit, but I’m wondering what a /rough/ minimum would be, as I wouldn’t want to disappoint whoever I write for (assuming I do join…).

Hey hey! For a rough/approximate minimum word count I’ll say 500~ words is a good one. Give or take, so no worries if it’s 497 words or something. We only added that stipulation in the FAQs to make sure that people do put in some effort in their gifts instead of say, submitting a chat-type fic with less than a hundred words. Granted, this has never happened before and it’s why we ask participants if there are prompts they’d rather not be assigned to. We want everyone to get prompts that they’d be excited about and want to create content for! 

That said, we’d love to have you join us and I’m always up for more ZE fics! 😀
